THE THERAPEUTIC PROCESS CAN BE ONE OF CREATIVE LIBERATION, INSIGHT AND DEEP COMPASSION TOWARDS OUR OWN HUMANITY.

MY THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
I am a licensed mental health counselor, specializing in Somatic Psychotherapy. I received my Masters in Somatic Psychology in 2004 from Naropa University in Colorado.Â
Trauma, pain, shame and life's disappointments deeply impact our bodies, minds and spirits.
As your therapist, I hold hope for your process. I am a collaborative and relational therapist with a multi-disciplinary approach to psychotherapy.
AS A SOMATIC PSYCHOTHERAPIST, I KNOW THAT HEALING AND WELL-BEING MUST INCLUDE OUR WHOLE SYSTEM IN ORDER TO FEEL INTEGRATED, AND TO KNOW OURSELVES ON AN EMBODIED LEVEL.
The process of therapy is a remembering of who you are, it's a self-love practice. I include body awareness, mindfulness and psychodynamic tools in my practice.
I have over 20 years of experience working with a variety of populations. I work with individuals and couples of diverse orientations, including LGBTQIA+ and open or non-traditional partnerships.
I am experienced with anxiety, life transitions, break-ups, pre and postpartum struggles, motherhood, fertility and trauma.
I have been a yoga teacher for 20 years, and I am also a flower essence practitioner and offer these remedies if my clients are interested in using them.
SOMATIC PSYCHOTHERAPY
GRADUALLY I CAME TO SEE THAT MOVEMENT IS ONE OF THE GREAT LAWS OF LIFE.
It is the primary medium of our aliveness, the flow of energy going on in us like a river all the time, awake or asleep, twenty-four hours a day.
